Backtrack - Oiche Fheile Eoin and more

Bhí tine beag againn do na páistí Oiche Fhéile Eoin taobh thíos don teach. Bhí droch oíche ann, agus chomh luath is a lás Eddie and tine thosaigh an fearthainn ach mar sin féin bhain na páistí sult as an tine ar feadh tamalt agus mhair sé go maidin!! Seo cúpla pictiúr.

We had a small bonefire for the children in our back yard on Bonefire night - 23 June. We lit the fire at about 9pm and 5 minutes later it beagan to pour with rain, but they enjoyed seeing the fire, and funnily enough despite the rain the fire was still smoking next morning. Here are a few photos of the event.




This photo was taken on 10 June. The boat in the background was burned on the Big bonefire on 23 June. Every year the young lads on the island collect all kinds of stuff to form this bonefire. This year Darragh was the main collector and he managed to get all kinds of stuff from bits of wood to old sofas and beds, but this was the main piece. Sad to see a boat being burned but the wood was rotten.
